I think he would like this song.
Representing A goodbye

to Mom,
family and friends-

all loved ones.

He would follow this song with:

"Sorry if I made you cry"

A word not truly spoken, was Goodbye.

Dad's will to live and refusal to give up the fight prevented many from hearing his Goodbye.  Often things went unsaid, and a final goodbye was one.  We were always left with "Love you", "see you later", or a pleasant "Bye".  Never a final Goodbye.

He  had accepted that one day the monster would defeat him, but not today and hopefully not tomorrow. He was forever young, praying that "that" tomorrow would never come. I do not believe he could have truly said Goodbye during his battle without damaging his ability to continue the fight. A battle not for himself, but for us.  A fight not to have to see our pain in his Goodbye.

With his struggle now over, I know he would love to spend some time to say a personal Goodbye and Thank You to each one of you.

He touched our lives, touched our  hearts.   I think you can rest assured, you touched his. He was happiest with family, friends, pets, and whenever he had the opportunity to  help and share with others. If he were here to speak for himself, he would thank each of you for your contributions to his life, the pleasures gained from just being with you, the simple joys he gained being able to help you. He loved each and every one of you.

Take his memory in you heart and a bit of him will live on in all of us.

There is a time to say Goodbye.

To Dad -I miss you.
-Your son Randy.
