WRITTEN IN HONOR OF JACK J HALL-
"OUR SUPERMAN"

Mom & Dad & Dogs

How do we feel when we come to the end of the very best book we have ever read- when the time comes to close it's cover? Oh--- how we wish that book did not have to end! --- Instead of closing it -we want to quickly go back to the first page--- and start reading it-- all- over- again.

Jack J Hall- brother, husband, father, uncle, friend- what a mighty fine book your life has been.- to quote one of your favorite sayings- "It was a dandy!" - Yes, it was!

All the components that make a book a "Best Seller" were there. This book was a great love story- - love of family -love of friends - love of your country- love of those four-legged furry companions--- LOVE OF LIFE! - As you had typed on you computer's wallpaper- where you saw it seen every day - "IT'S GREAT TO BE ALIVE- HAVE A GREAT DAY!".

Your compassion for others and your ability to openly show that compassion taught us that love is there to be shared- to be given and received -not tomorrow, but today- while you have the opportunity.

From you, we learned the definition of the word integrity- as we watched the way you lived your life--each and every day.

You showed us that truth prevails- that honesty, fairness, respect for others- respect for all living things - were not just lofty goals- but were just as imperative to our lives as is the constant beat of our heart. You taught us that our love for others and how we treat them- were the most important things in of our lives.

You were never afraid to show your emotions- hugging- touching- smiling-laughing-crying--Yes, this book was filled with passion.

Of course, there was tragedy, as there is in all great books. But you faced tragedy as you faced all aspects of life- with great dignity-strength- and courage.

You did not allow your spirit weaken-When times were at their worst- your response, when asked how you were doing, was always --"pretty good". If you could be with the ones you loved- then yes--- things were good.

This book has been a soft- gentle- sweet- peaceful reading. How rarely did you ever raise your voice-and only then when you felt someone was being treated unfairly.

You were patient, gentle, kind and giving. It seemed that was nothing that you could not do- When something would not work-How many times have each of us said - " Let's get Jack Hall -he can fix it"- from cars that would not start, computer programs that would not work, lamps shades that were shattered by a wayward dog-- problems that seemed impossible to solve- Jack Hall would fix them all- and he would always fix them in that easy, patient, peaceful manner---- as if there was nothing in the world he would rather be doing.

Jack Hall was rather hard -headed--- tho he would probably disagree--- not with words, but by giving you "THE LOOK" - But when Jack Hall was involved- you never had to worry-you knew it would be done and it would be done right.

Yes, you taught us about the "best" things in life--- to complete the difficult tasks first and save the best for last- and you would always share the best with us-- Because the only way to make the best better was by sharing it.!
How you loved watermelon- you would cut away the heart of the melon, the sweetest part--- and put it aside- to eat it last- knowing that the best was yet to come. And of course, this is when we would decide we wanted a bite of your watermelon! - and there was never-never-NEVER a time that you did not lovingly share it. The best of the watermelon-the best of everything. You were more than willing to take on the less sweet parts of life in order to be able to share the sweetest parts with us. I suppose this is what we mean when we say, "There will never be another Jack Hall".

Like every great book we have read- even if we can no longer hold that book in our hands - all we have to do is take a slow, deep- peaceful breath- open our hearts and remember-- for every page of your book is firmly and everlastingly -written in our hearts. Jack J Hall -you have been and continue to be OUR HERO--- OUR SUPERMAN! - Our respect and admiration for you is summed up in a from the song "Superman"- Yes, Jack, --this song could have been written for you ! --------- " and sometimes I despair -the world will never see another man -- like him !"-

Your Daughter, Pam

We love you.
